Rush Badge from Metruvia
The Rush Badge from Metruvia exists to notify users of a live surge of demand in Metruvia Tracker pages collectively through tracker usage spikes usually within minutes so that riders can instantly at a glance see that Metruvia App trackers are “hot” right now.
Completed Clarity
Its first job is triage: rush-tagged rides pin to top with forceful pill, so that people can see that Trip Cards are at most activity-sensitive without reading all the way through the list. It also enables the app to reallocate resources where they matter, refreshing those cards more tightly (e.g., from ~10–12 s to ~5–6 s), pre-warming caches, and opening up another fetch lane to keep data snappy under load. On the data side, all activity during surge is marked rush=true, isolating those performance and crowding proxies for surge versus normal times (we typically highlight it when load is >~3× the 7-day median per 60 s or clears near P95 for three consecutive 60-second windows). Net effect: clearer rider priorities, smarter system resource allocation, and crisper analytics—not by relying on blunt “peak hour” assumptions.
