Trip Card from Metruvia
Trip Card from Metruvia is the highest-level of UI tile for representing a single live train run, built to answer “Is this my train, and do I still have time?” at a glance.
Completed Clarity
It shows identity (trip ID, headsign, directionality), live time (countdown and delay minutes), next stop, and platform/track, plus state badges like Express, and Trip Completed. Each card has its own data polling boundary – of the order of ~10 s baseline, narrowing to ~5–6 s during rush while smoothing and deduping feed noise so the numbers don’t stutter. Riders can open the whole stop list and the card auto-hands off focus when the run completes so the list advances to the next possible trip. Analytics annotate every card event and virtualization keeps only the top ~8–12 cards “hot,” making Trip Cards the rider’s decision tile as well as the system’s native unit for tracking its own performance.
